About Katia
Having excelled in my VCE French studies, and achieving a 99.20 ATAR (DUX of Girton Grammar School), I offer targeted, exam-focused French tutoring designed to maximise your SAC and exam performances.

As a non-native French speaker with no background of immersion, nor French schooling, I am absolute proof that excelling is attainable. I developed structured methods, and a highly strategic approach to learning French, that is most importantly: replicable. My students benefit from guidance through clear systems rather than innate exposure.
Alongside my VCE, I sat the DELF B2 (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) through Alliance Française Melbourne in 2025, and received the diploma with a near-perfect score. Currently, I am now balancing studying for the DALF C1 in between my studies. This combination of VCE excellence and certification from the French Ministry of Education exemplifies my scope of both curriculum precision and real-life linguistic proficiency.

MY TUTORING APPROACH
By design, classroom teaching treats students collectively. It approaches the entire class but falls short for many whose capacities are neglected. My lessons are designed to fill that gap and offer individualised aid that is adapted to each student’s level. identifying key linguistic weaknesses, mapping VCAA expectations, and compound improvement.
I truly believe that everyone has the capacity for language-learning, there is no minimum requirement of French level to begin. Curiosity and willingness to improve are the only true prerequisites. And it’s with guidance and structure that your effort is finally transformed into success.
