About Jonathan
I am a Mathematical Sciences student in the University of Limerick with a strong academic background, having achieved 7 H1s in my Leaving Certificate, including in Mathematics, Physics, Applied Mathematics, and Chemistry.
Since completing my Leaving Certificate, I have been providing math grinds and have developed experience working with students of different abilities. This has allowed me to understand the common challenges students face and how best to support them in improving their performance.
I am patient, approachable, and reliable, and I take pride in creating a positive and supportive learning environment. Having recently gone through the Leaving Certificate myself, I understand the pressures students experience and aim to provide clear, practical guidance to help them succeed.

Since completing my Leaving Certificate two years ago, I have been giving maths grinds, gaining valuable experience working with students at different levels. My close proximity to the Leaving Certificate is also an advantage, as I have a clear and up-to-date understanding of the course structure, marking schemes, and exam expectations.
My approach to tutoring focuses on clarity, exam technique, and active learning. I tailor each lesson to the individual needs of the student, breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps that can be applied effectively in exams. A strong emphasis is placed on working through past exam questions, as this is one of the most effective ways to prepare for state exams. I also focus on identifying common mistakes and helping students develop a clear strategy for approaching different question types.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, with longer sessions available if required. Each lesson is structured to maximise efficiency, focusing on the topics the student wants to prioritise, ensuring steady and measurable progress.
My lessons are suitable for Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate students of all levels, whether the goal is to pass, improve grades, or achieve top marks. I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence.
