About Malaika
I genuinely enjoy helping others understand math and grow in their confidence. I know that not every concept clicks right away, and that’s completely normal. I never want a student to feel embarrassed or discouraged if they don’t understand something on the first try. Learning takes patience, and everyone moves at their own pace, so I always create a supportive space where questions are encouraged.
Through my own experience in math, I’ve been exposed to a wide range of concepts and different problem-solving strategies. Because of that, I’m able to explain ideas in multiple ways until we find the approach that makes the most sense. My goal is not just to improve grades, but to help students feel capable, confident, and motivated in every session.

My approach as an online math tutor is structured, patient, and focused on helping students truly understand concepts rather than memorize formulas. I break down complex problems into clear, step-by-step explanations and guide students through practice questions that gradually increase in difficulty. A typical lesson includes reviewing homework or past material, introducing or reinforcing a key concept, working through examples together, and ending with independent practice to build confidence. As a high-achieving high school student, I understand how math is currently taught and what teachers expect on tests, which allows me to better support students.
