I will approach our lessons with 4 points of action:
1. Conversation - In the beginning, we will exercise casual conversation so we can develop a rapport and I can understand what aspects of listening you may need to work on.
2. Exercise - I will speak to you and ask you to jot down notes, as if in an interview, and we will review what details you were able to retain.
3. Exercise 2- You will pick a song, analyze the lyrics without text and we will discuss the what the song may be saying. I believe this to be a powerful exercise to actively listen and understand even abstract concepts.
4. Conversation 2 - We will return back to conversation and see you have picked up more information than before.
