About Amelia
Hello! I am a neuroscience major at the University of Michigan with a strong academic background and dedication to helping others succeed. In high school, I graduated in the top 10 out of 527 students with a 4.2 GPA. I challenged myself with rigorous coursework, including multiple Honors and AP classes such as Honors Algebra 2 and AP Chemistry, earning As in both. My success comes from consistent hard work and a genuine passion for learning, which are qualities I will now bring into tutoring. I understand the challenges students face because I’ve been through them myself, and I know what it takes to excel. My academic journey reflects my commitment to master difficult material, which reassures students that they will be learning from someone who has proven results. I am confident, approachable, and determined to create a supportive environment where students not only improve their grades but also build long-term confidence in their abilities.

My teaching style is engaging and clear and is tailored to each student’s needs. I will begin by asking them what their strengths and weaknesses currently are, then I will adjust based off of that. A typical lesson contains step-by-step explanations, interactive practice, and real-life examples to make learning easier and more efficient! What sets me apart from most tutors is my patience and my ability to explain concepts in multiple ways until they click. I will use tips and tricks from my prior learning to help the student understand the course more.
