About Charonia
Fluency is a direct result of consistent, practical application. Learning a new language involves 70 percent listening and 30 percent speaking. During our time together, we focus on idioms and expressions that you can use immediately in daily life.
I emphasize intonation so you sound authentic rather than rehearsed. We will correct your pronunciation through guided repetition and song analysis. I welcome you to join me for a session to see how we might proceed.

Quebec winters smell like burning wood and stale coffee in the back of a guitar case. As a BM Popular Music graduate from UdeM, I have spent 9 years helping people navigate the intricacies of French through the lens of chanson. I have worked with over 300 students ranging from relocation seekers to intermediate hobbyists. My life is spent between music studios and language coaching sessions.
I offer a free trial lesson to assess your level of fluency. Mastering liaison and nasal sounds requires a sharp ear and a relaxed throat. Verb conjugation becomes much easier when you sing it aloud.
I provide deep cultural context to bridge the gap between textbook grammar and the way people actually speak. DELF and DALF preparation is part of my standard curriculum. I look forward to helping you find your voice in French, just like a singer finding a new melody.
