About J Doug
I started playing bass when I was 11 years old, was in several rock bands through junior high and high school, played bass in the University of Arizona jazz band, toured Japan with the UNLV jazz band, have done extensive studio recording with various Christian rock bands, and played bass for years at my church. I picked up rhythm acoustic guitar in my early 20s and led worship at my church for years on acoustic guitar. I have a good solid understanding of music theory, how to play by ear, how to read, etc. I’m the perfect teacher for somebody who’s picking up bass or acoustic guitar for the first time, and wants to learn solid, foundational technique, theory and ear training.

I charge $35 per 1/2 hour (above view would not allow me to enter 1/2 hour price. I believe half hour lessons are a more economical use of your time as a student. I can give you plenty to work on in 30 minutes that will prepare you for your next lesson, if you have a good practice discipline. $30 per 1/2 hour online. $150 for a package of 5 ($125 online). $250 for a package of 10 ($200 online).
