My viewpoint is that the first roadblock is that a pupil is intimidated, either by the material or their own personal fears. So, I approach tutoring by first easing their fears and discovering what a student needs and wants to learn and move on from there, showing them that its easier than it looks. I then design exercises to get one to know they can handle things and use their input to develop their skills and direct them on a path to success. I make Calculus and Physics and other Mathematics on all levels clearer and easier to understand and work.
