About the lesson

I have been teaching science at KS3 - 5 (Biology specialism) since 2001. I have taught in all types of state schools, a private school and academy schools. I have taught the range of pupil abilities from the lowest ability KS3 students to those with aspirations of Oxbridge entry. I am also a qualififed and experienced teacher of Psychology, and have also taught maths to KS 3 and 4, ICT and computer science to KS3 and 4. My research at post graduate level was on memory and learning and I have a keen interest in this area. I am also intending to deliver mindfulness practise in schools as I believe this is an invaluable technique for school aged children. My personal interests include mountaineering and mountain biking, running, reading and writing. I have an excellent command of the English language. I am flexible, able to problem solve effectively and quickly, and can recognise and engage different learning styles by adapting to the needs of the student.
