About Ian
I am a family man who has been teaching Maths in a secondary school for the last 18 years. I enjoy helping and encouraging young people to progress in their studies. Students are under a massive amount of pressure these days with targets etc and I see first-hand how extra support can benefit them and enable them to be more confident.

I work through examples to show students how to tackle a question. When the students are ready, I let them work through a problem, using my examples if they need to. I intervene if and when students need help. I allow students to have enough practice on a particular style of question to develop their confidence.
