I have been in primary education for 23 years and have spent many years teaching across Years 2 - 6. My most recent experience has been in Years 3 and 4. Although I have planned Mathematics and English to a team of teachers, I am trained in Mathematics. At my previous school, I have helped initiate new ideas within the Mathematics team, leading to the development of more detailed reasoning questions and deeper mastery of reasoning and problem solving.
I had designed my previous school's old ICT curriculum before the new 2014 curriculum came into place. I do believe that Computing can help less confident learners in all areas of the curriculum. I can code using Scratch, Python and the old Logo.
I am now registered as a supply teacher so this allows me to devout more time to my own children and those that I tutor.
Using any assessments available I would devise a plan/series of lessons to help your child to further progress and develop their confidence in Mathematics, English and Science, within the primary curriculum.
I am very happy to tutor according to the needs of the learner and support the child's school and homework. I believe in delivering engaging lessons to the learner to aid progress and attainment.
I teach within the primary education sector; Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I teach all subjects of the national curriculum.
