About Anastasia
I’m 20 and from London, I was studying in Swansea Uni for 2 years for Medical Genetics but have decided that wasn’t the right path for me. I’ve been playing piano since I was 4 and was moved around a lot as a kid, so I’ve had multiple teachers, all with different teaching styles. I like to think that I’ve taken something from each teacher to incorporate into my own teaching. In all honesty I never wanted to teach piano when I was learning, but started teaching a student 4 years ago, and grew to love it over the years. I really want to inspire others to either start or continue learning for fun, or for qualifications (grades) because music has always been a major part of my life and has helped through multiple troubling times.

I have a simple structure. I like to tailor my lessons according to how my students react and learn. I always try multiple teaching styles at first until I find the right one that shows the best results and the best interaction. I always ask my students to bring a notepad so I can write notes for easier practice, and I like to teach “fun” songs alongside grade pieces to ensure my students don’t get too frustrated with what they’re learning. I specialise in Trinity College London exam board, but am open to teaching ABRSM. I also offer online/remote lessons for students who either aren’t able to make the lesson, or are too far in distance.
