About Emily
I am a teacher who loves to see students grow and gain confidence in English. Outside of teaching, I am a language learner, traveler, and history enthusiast. Through my travels, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with and help students from different backgrounds. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, listening to music—especially in French, Spanish, and Italian—and taking dance classes.

My lessons have two main aspects: we begin with grammar and new vocabulary, and then apply what we’ve learned to real-life situations through practical activities and conversation practice. After the first few lessons to assess your English level, I can start to incorporate your personal interests into the classes. This allows me to tailor each lesson to better suit you, making sessions more engaging, relevant, and effective. You can ask me to explain the same thing as many times as you need—I’m always patient and happy to help. Having learned other languages myself, I understand how challenging the process can be. This allows me to better relate to my students and use methods that truly work while avoiding approaches that don’t.
