About Jonathan
With 5 years experience in teaching, and 10 years experience in sports coaching, my focus has always been in developing critical thinking skills that benefit my students in their day-to-day lives. I've often found that this is best achieved through conversation and discussion, using material sourced from a broad range of topics that evoke imaginative, creative and intelligent mental processing.
I have always believed that if teachers could broaden the scope of their subject and draw connections between their topic and the world around us, then society would be full of lifelong learners. By using my love for English and History, this is my ultimate goal.

My teaching methodology is primarily made of conversation and discussion with the use of relevant and referenceable teaching aids, notes and presentations.
Aimed at students with basic to fluent English capabilities, I hope to help students develop language skills ranging from basic conversation to academic proficiency through stimulating discussion, conversation and analysis of various topics such as current affairs, history, politics, philosophy and economics in the pursuit of well-rounded, holistic engagement.
