I am bilingual in English and Spanish and currently teach ENL, or ESL, in Westchester, NY. I received my Masters Degree in TESOL in 2020. I have been working in the ESL classroom for about 6 years in various locations in NY and CT.

My lessons are targeted for K-5 grade learners. I always love to start with going over the calendar with my students. Each student has a turn to speak to fill in the missing parts of the date. Afterward, I have the students echo read the objectives of the day and write them down in their notebooks as well. I always strive to activate students prior knowledge from their language or culture to the new lesson that I will teach in English.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my respect and embrace of other cultures and having the students feel included and at home in my class. I love to learn from the students' cultures and passions as much as I love to teach them.
