About Tom
I am a tutor and writer. I was admitted to Harvard, Princeton, and Columbia after graduating from high school in the United Kingdom. I graduated from Harvard with a BA degree in PPE in 2018. Prior jobs include investigating murders at the Manhattan DA’s office (not a joke) and ghostwriting.

Big believer in the Feynman technique: you don’t truly understand something until you can explain it to an intelligent 12-year-old (kindergarten teachers are the true geniuses). I teach two extracurricular classes a week to advanced A-Level students: one in Social Theory; one in Expository Writing. At university level, I have tutored three Ivy League students through the process of planning, researching, and writing their 30k-word senior theses in political theory, philosophy, history, and literature. Two of them went on to win the top academic prize at their university. The third achieved an A grade despite my services only being retained 2 weeks before the thesis submission deadline. Another area I focus on is providing support for the university admissions process—particularly on the essay writing side.
