Half Japanese, half Kiwi and fluent in both languages! Relaxed, conversational approach!

I am teaching based off of my experience growing up with 2 languages and I am not a professional but do have experience tutoring students learning Japanese in the past. In my primary and intermediate years, I did a couple of months of school in Japan every year or so to keep the language and culture, and in high school, I left part way through year 11 to do 3 full years of high school in Japan in an all Japanese boarding school. I have experienced learning Japanese from a Kiwi perspective and attending English lessons from a Japanese perspective and therefore believe I understand the difficulty of learning Japanese with an English background. Although my experience may be limited, I do think you may find me easily relatable in terms of learning a language and hopefully approachable too! I believe in conversational learning as gaining confidence to speak the language is far more beneficial than strict grammar right from the beginning. My lessons will focus on saying words out loud and practising pronunciation as well as building vocabulary. I am open to any and all questions too and changing teaching styles to suit you better!
