I had finished year 12 at the end of last year and I would love to help younger people learning English to assist with their lessons at school.

About Kathleen
During my time at school, English would have been my strongest subject. I would be at the top of my class from year 1 all the way through to year 12 in English. I was also the one my friends would go to, to edit their drafts. I am also always eager and energetic to find and use new, and interesting words that I either hadn't heard or seen written down. I am able to develop tutoring and educational lesson plans but I am also able to communicate with the students without forcing or pushing them to get everything done. My lessons will be structured but flexible according to the student.
I am able to connect to the students, being close to their age, being able to discover new, innovative and effective ways to enhance the students' skills.

The lessons will be set according to the student (every student learns differently). Typically I would go through the task set with the student and help them point out important areas (highlighting the assessment guideline and making dot points), then help them work through the dot points.
Lengths of lessons will also be between 45 minutes and 1 hour depending on the age of the student. If the student is young (between the ages of 10 and 14) I would make the lessons around 45 minutes but if they were older (15 - 18) I would make the lessons around an hour.
I don't have any teaching qualifications but I have some experience with tutoring as I used to tutor year 8s at school in the afternoon (between 3:45 and 5, depending on when the student arrived).
The lessons I'll be willing to tutor would be for year 6 (11/12 years old) to year 12 (17/18 years old)
