Hi guys! I’m a qualified teacher with a PGCE in Secondary science from the UCL Institute of Education. I graduated from St. George’s university of London with a BSc (hons) in Biomedical science. The lessons I’ll teach will be planned and carried out in a way to suit the learners best. I also have experience in teaching many children with different backgrounds and abilities.
I believe that the ability to support and motivate students is absolutely vital in a learning environment. From my own previous experiences, people (teachers and mentors alike) who have been able to inspire others have gotten the best out of them. In order to motivate students there has to be an element of being able to relate to the students you are trying to support. I believe that this can be done via previous wide-ranging experience in different sectors of education, so you can figure out what works well for certain types of students academically. I also believe that this can sometimes be achieved by making sure students engage in the tasks ahead though motivation leads to engagement. I have also come across variability in students, which should also be noted as different individuals can require for example more motivation and consequently more support.
