About Fergal
I am a singer/songwriter, guitarist and home studio engineer from Limerick, Ireland. I am 49 years old. I have released 4 albums of original material. I play rhythm and lead guitar, acoustic and electric, and bass. I also have extensive experience recording, mixing and mastering music for myself and clients in my home studio. I have lots of live performance experience too, playing hundreds of gigs over the past 15 years. I like teaching because it is an opportunity to pass on my knowledge and experience to students of all ages and levels, to help them develop their careers. I needed this guidance when I started off, so it is an opportunity to give back, and keep the industry vibrant and healthy.

I have a relaxed approach, I am cordial and positive. I slowly demonstrate chord shapes, scales, riffs, and picking and strumming. I will answer any questions or repeat sections at any point in the lesson. I have been playing regularly for over 25 years, am a singer/songwriter and I have a First Class Honours MA in songwriting. I teach young and old, beginners to intermediate. Lessons generally are one hour long. I am also currently teaching guitar for 16 hours per week at a local music school.
