About Nova
With over a decade of experience teaching guitar, I bring both professional insight and genuine enthusiasm to every session. I’ve taught aspiring musicians from all walks of life, helping them progress from hesitant beginners to confident performers who understand their artistic voice. My teaching is rooted in patience and curiosity — I believe every student learns differently, and I shape lessons to match their rhythm of discovery. Combining methodical exercises with creative freedom, I ensure that music always feels expressive, not mechanical. Outside of teaching, I perform and record in various genres, from classical to blues to contemporary fusion. These experiences continually inspire my approach, reminding me that music education is not just about skill, but about connecting passion, story, and sound in every note.

My guitar lessons aim to help students feel both confident and connected to their instrument. Lessons combine foundational technique — chord work, scales, rhythm, and strumming — with ear training, music theory, and creativity. Whether you’re exploring acoustic fingerstyle, pop, or lead guitar, each class is crafted to strengthen both precision and musical imagination.
We start by developing tone awareness and finger control, gradually building into improvisation, phrasing, and stylistic detail. I encourage students to experiment with tone color, rhythmic variety, and melodic storytelling, fostering an understanding of music that’s both emotional and intellectual.
Lessons often include guided listening and short composition tasks to build intuitive musicianship. By the end of each program, students not only play fluently but think musically — able to interpret, arrange, and perform with purpose and artistry.
