Hi, I’m Chris — a guitar instructor with over a decade of teaching experience, working with students across the United States and around the world.

Because of my background in composition and audio engineering, I also help students understand tone, recording basics, and how to craft a great sound — especially useful for those creating content or recording at home.

Most of my students aren’t trying to become professional musicians. They just want to:
• Play their favorite songs confidently
• Understand chords and scales
• Improve rhythm and timing
• Stop feeling stuck in the same pentatonic box
That’s where I come in.
I specialize in helping beginner and early-intermediate guitarists build a strong foundation by mastering:
Open chords and barre chords
Pentatonic and major scale positions
The CAGED system
Triads and chord inversions
Rhythm, groove, and feel
Improvisation and soloing
My approach is structured but simple. I break complex concepts down into clear, practical steps so you actually understand what you're playing — not just memorize shapes.

I’ve taken video lessons with Chris for almost 2 years now.. I was hesitant to take lessons at first and went through a few different teachers before I found him, but he’s great. He is really nice, and is patient when you’re first learning, like there is no judgement or pressure. He helps you learn whatever your goals are whether it’s playing popular/your favorite songs or actually learning more about the theory of music and expressive playing. I’ve learned all the basic chords I need for my favorite songs and can now play them myself and sing along. Chris is a great teacher and is very friendly and professional, and I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for remote virtual guitar lessons
