Perfect! Bryan's very methodical and thorough, I had a lot of fun learning with him! Thank you
- Sadia was interested in learning barre chords so we started right from the basics working on left hand technique and working through open chord shapes.Bryan's response :
Perfect! Bryan got what I was after just from reading my initial message and at the first lesson we already made progress against the goals I have as a reasonably experienced guitarist struggling a bit with focus and direction.
Really nice guy to talk to and flexible with quick and clear comms. Will definitely be continuing with Bryan.- Had a very productive lesson. We focused on the method of transcription and learning by ear, using a few Robben Ford blues solos as example material. Thanks - really enjoyed it!Bryan's response :
Perfect! I’ve been learning guitar with Bryan for roughly 9 months now and have made excellent progress practicing electric guitar.
Bryan is a friendly, approachable and patient teacher and is happy to tailor his lessons to bands/songs you are interested in where possible. Explains the theory when applicable and teaches you how to structure your learning and practice at home to get the most out of your time.
I highly recommend Bryan regardless of where you are in your guitar learning journey - he will help get you where you want to be.- Stuart is open to new ideas, methods, and approaches. Already he has made progress in ear training, and I am sure he will enjoy the musical journey ahead.Bryan's response :
Perfect! Just the tutoring that my daughter was looking for - just the cost is an issue
- Great lesson - really enjoyed helping her with the Trinity grade 4 exam. Looked at the first two bars of the Beatles song and came up with a projected timeline for completing the 3 required songs. Happy to help!Bryan's response :
Perfect! I was unsure about certain aspects of my technique, but Bryan was fantastic in offering various methods to enhance my skills. He also shared great insights on ear training, which I found very useful. I felt a bit uneasy initially, but the welcoming and relaxed environment helped me settle in quickly. The hour flew by, and I left with a clear path for improving my playing. Bryan even gave me detailed notes to continue practicing at home. I highly recommend him to anyone eager to advance their musical abilities.

I have had guitar lessons with Bryan over the course of a few years and he has really helped me improve as a player. He is highly knowledgeable on a range of genres and takes a patient approach tailored to your individual goals. Would highly recommend!
Bryan was in the same band on a jazz gig. We played other funk and blues tunes as well and he had a good understanding of theory and technique. Great guy and musician!
I’ve known Bryan for over 10 years, even before he became the accomplished guitar instructor he is today. When I first started learning guitar, Bryan shared his knowledge with me and patiently taught me the basics. Although he didn’t have much formal teaching experience at the time, his natural patience and clear guidance were evident from the start. Bryan was particularly good at spotting my mistakes early on and offering practical advice that helped me improve quickly.
Due to study commitments, I wasn’t able to continue lessons with him. It wasn’t until recently that I decided to resume my guitar lessons with Bryan. To my surprise, his teaching skills had developed significantly in both depth and breadth. Not only has he refined the skills I noticed early on, but he has also possessed new qualities such as active listening, adaptability, organisation etc.
It’s been wonderful to see how far he’s come as a professional instructor. I have no doubt that his current students benefit immensely from his skill, patience, and supportive teaching style. I highly recommend Bryan to anyone looking to learn guitar, whether you’re a complete beginner or someone looking to enhance your existing skills.Really interesting method, certainly someone who wants to get you to truly understanding the fundamentals and really listening...plus a gentleman and nice chap to boot :)
I have been learning the guitar with Bryan for 3 years and really enjoying the lessons. His teaching methods are great and we managed to achieve the goal of playing in front of an audience within a year of starting. He is kind, friendly, and patient. I am always looking forward to the lessons and improving my skills on the guitar. Thanks
I had an incredible experience with my guitar lesson! Bryan was patient and provided personalized feedback that really helped me improve my skills.
Highly recommend!!
WillHe has a way to express his knowledge and ideas to you and he is able to play with such control and creativity that you just want to keep learning and going to get to where he is and further more…..
Couldn’t recommend anyone betterWhen I first started guitar it was quite overwhelming, there was so much to learn and it was difficult to know which direction to go in. Bryan taught me a method for learning songs on guitar that massively improved my abilities, confidence and overall musicality. If I struggled with a concept, he was adept at communicating it in simpler terms. He’s also a great guy and very easy to get along with, I always looked forward to our lessons.
Bryan was an excellent colleague at MusicLab in Leeds. He is really friendly, easygoing and has a calm and patient demeanor. He is conscientious and punctual. He regularly plays around Leeds, and I understand that he's a very skilled guitar player, well versed in different musical styles.
An Excellent Guitar Teacher!
In my opinion, Bryan teaches guitar with a unique approach—one that I haven't experienced anywhere else. I truly benefited from the sessions I had with Bryan, and many of the complexities of playing guitar became easy and simple for me. I highly recommend him to all guitar students, regardless of their age.

Bryan is an easy going and kind tutor. He seems to enjoy teaching his students genuinely as I’ve experienced this myself. He holds a conversation well but also makes sure lesson time is not wasted. You can’t go wrong with Bryan as your tutor.
Bryan is a great tutor and player, with a great understanding of jazz and pop and very easy to work with. He's calm, patient and excited about learning and teaching.
I fully appreciate his music teaching style since the learning is serious with good progress. Covers fundamentals of the instrument, knowing your way round the fretboard, and ear training development.
Great guitar tutor who offers one-to-one private tuition. In the lessons expect to learn a lot about music from the fundamentals and basics all the way to specialisation and mastery. Good for anyone looking to get into a solid learning routine!

I like Bryan's teaching style being very versatile and tailored to the individual - not a 'one-size-fits-all' kind of approach. He uses effective methods to enhance the progress of students. Definitely recommend!
A few years ago we collaborated in producing music. This included arranging covers of songs and composing new original material. He contributed a lot musically and we had a good time!
Bryan is very passionate about teaching jazz and I am making great progress! Thanks!
KSI was learning classic rock and hard rock songs in the lessons. They were well-structured, and I really liked the planning of goals and targets so we both work towards something rather than just having a jam all the time.
Learning heavy rock guitar with Bryan has been a thrill! It has helped me progress onto metal music with the same knowledge and technique applied. Fully recommend his teaching!
Bryan is always dedicated to his job and has a good reputation on the local music scene. I would recommend him for anyone looking to learn music.
