About Charlotte
I am a guitar tutor with nine years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance and Contemporary Styles. I teach learners at all levels, from beginners to advanced students, helping them develop technical proficiency, musical expression, and performance readiness. My teaching style is student-centered, adaptive, and interactive. Lessons integrate theory, improvisation, repertoire practice, and performance preparation. I emphasize building confidence, creativity, and expressive skill while nurturing each student’s individual musical voice. Outside teaching, I perform professionally and explore multiple musical genres, bringing real-world experience and inspiration into lessons. I guide students in performance preparation, improvisation, and stylistic interpretation. Lessons combine technical exercises, repertoire practice, and expressive exploration. Finger dexterity, hand coordination, and picking accuracy are emphasized alongside musical interpretation. Performance preparation, duet work, and improvisation exercises are integrated to ensure students can apply their skills in real-world scenarios.
Additionally, I focus on developing stylistic versatility and expressive freedom. Students learn to interpret music emotionally, create their own musical ideas, and perform confidently.
