About Eliza
I hold a B.Mus in Guitar Performance along with a Diploma in Contemporary Music Studies, and I bring 9 years of teaching experience working with students of diverse musical interests. My background includes performance, ensemble collaboration, and ongoing study of guitar techniques across genres. These experiences shape my practical, student-centered teaching style.
I approach teaching with patience and encouragement, helping students understand both how and why musical techniques work. I emphasize gradual progress, ensuring learners feel supported and motivated throughout their journey.
Outside teaching, I remain active in music through performance projects, composition, and continued technical practice. These experiences keep my instruction fresh and relevant. Teaching guitar is meaningful to me because I see students gain confidence, creativity, and a deep personal connection to music.

Each session is structured to balance technical growth with creativity, ensuring learners enjoy the process while improving steadily.
Lesson plans are customized according to experience level. Beginners focus on finger placement, strumming patterns, basic chords, and reading simple notation or tablature. Intermediate students develop scales, barre chords, rhythm variations, and stylistic techniques. Advanced learners refine improvisation, tone control, performance preparation, and musical interpretation. Consistent practice guidance and constructive feedback help students build confidence and musical independence.
Learning guitar strengthens focus, discipline, and creative thinking. Many students develop stronger listening skills and emotional expression through music. My goal is to help learners feel confident exploring their musical identity while developing solid skills that support long-term growth and enjoyment.
