About Elena
My passion for guitar began with a fascination for melody, harmony, and the unique expressive potential of the instrument. I earned a B.Mus in Guitar Performance, studying technique, repertoire, improvisation, and music theory in depth. Over the past 8 years, I have taught students of all ages and abilities, focusing on technical mastery, musical expression, and performance confidence. I teach with patience, clarity, and a personalized approach. Lessons combine structured exercises, repertoire practice, improvisational coaching, and performance guidance to help students internalize musical concepts and develop independence. I encourage creativity, exploration, and critical listening to deepen understanding and foster confidence. Outside teaching, I actively perform, study contemporary and classical repertoire, and engage with music communities to enrich my lessons. Witnessing students transform from tentative beginners to confident guitarists capable of performing with skill and expressive interpretation is deeply rewarding. My mission is to nurture both technical expertise and artistic passion, empowering learners to develop lifelong musical skills, creative confidence, and a personal connection to music that extends beyond the classroom.

Lesson plans are tailored to student proficiency. Beginners focus on basic chord shapes, simple scales, strumming patterns, and easy songs. Intermediate learners study barre chords, fingerstyle techniques, advanced scales, and improvisation. Advanced students focus on complex repertoire, improvisational skills, performance preparation, and interpretation. Guided exercises, constructive feedback, and performance simulation encourage steady progress and foster independence.
