About Nova
My journey with the guitar began as a personal exploration of sound, rhythm, and storytelling through music. Over time, this curiosity grew into a deep commitment to understanding the instrument both technically and emotionally. I pursued a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance, where I developed a strong foundation in technique, repertoire, and musical interpretation. Over the past 11 years, I have taught students from varied backgrounds, guiding them patiently through their individual musical paths.
As a teacher, I believe that learning music should feel encouraging rather than intimidating. I focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel safe to make mistakes, ask questions, and explore their creativity. My teaching style balances structure with flexibility, ensuring that students build solid fundamentals while also enjoying the freedom to express themselves musically. I pay close attention to each learner’s pace, motivation, and learning style.
Beyond teaching, I remain actively engaged in music through personal practice, listening, and continued study of different guitar styles. These experiences help me bring freshness and authenticity into my lessons. Teaching guitar is deeply fulfilling because I witness students grow not only as musicians, but also in confidence, patience, and self-belief. Supporting that growth is the most meaningful part of my work.

Guitar lessons are most effective when students feel inspired, supported, and challenged at the right pace. My lessons focus on helping learners understand the instrument deeply while enjoying the process of steady improvement. We work on posture, finger strength, coordination, rhythm control, and tone production in a way that feels clear and achievable. Musical ideas are introduced gradually, allowing students to build confidence without feeling rushed. Each session encourages curiosity, patience, and self-awareness, helping students connect technique with musical expression.
Lesson structure adapts to each learner’s background and goals. Beginners develop comfort with the fretboard, basic chords, strumming patterns, and timing. Intermediate learners refine fingerstyle control, scale fluency, expressive phrasing, and dynamic balance. Advanced students focus on repertoire development, stylistic interpretation, performance readiness, and musical independence. Exercises, songs, and technical drills are chosen carefully to support progress without overwhelming the learner.
Guitar lessons also strengthen focus, discipline, and creative confidence. Many students discover a stronger connection to music and to themselves through consistent practice. My aim is to help learners grow into confident guitarists who enjoy playing, exploring, and expressing their musical ideas freely.
