About Daphne
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Guitar Performance and have 7 years of experience teaching students at all skill levels. My approach emphasizes technical proficiency, improvisation, expressive performance, and creative exploration, allowing learners to develop confidence and a strong musical identity. I have guided students through foundational techniques, intermediate development, advanced improvisation, ensemble collaboration, and performance preparation. Lessons are structured, engaging, and personalized to ensure consistent growth and artistic fulfillment. My teaching philosophy is student-centered, focusing on blending technical exercises with creative exploration, performance coaching, and improvisational practice. My guitar lessons are designed to combine technical mastery, improvisational skill, and expressive performance in a supportive and engaging learning environment. Intermediate learners expand their skills with arpeggios, advanced chord voicings, scale application, stylistic techniques, improvisation, and transcription exercises across diverse genres such as jazz, blues, pop, and rock. I integrate ensemble practice, ear training, creative exercises, and performance simulations to enhance musical perception, analytical thinking, and expressive interpretation. Constructive feedback, milestone tracking, and reflective exercises are consistently applied to reinforce learning and promote self-directed growth. Students also explore performance preparation, stage presence, and expressive phrasing for recitals, auditions, and informal performances. Lessons balance technical rigor with artistic freedom, nurturing both skill development and personal expression while inspiring long-term engagement with music.
Advanced learners focus on sophisticated improvisation, solo technique, interpretive exploration, and complex repertoire.
