About Nova
I have 8 years of experience teaching guitar to students of varying skill levels, from absolute beginners to advanced performers. I hold an M.Mus in Contemporary Guitar Performance and Music Education, equipping me with a deep understanding of technique, creative expression, and effective pedagogy. My teaching philosophy balances structured skill development with personal artistic exploration, fostering well-rounded, confident guitarists.
In lessons, I cover chord progression, scales, arpeggios, fingerstyle, improvisation, soloing, rhythm, tone shaping, and performance skills. Each session is tailored to the student’s goals and interests, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. I focus on nurturing both technical proficiency and artistic individuality, helping students discover their unique musical voice.
Beyond teaching, I actively perform, compose, and explore diverse musical genres, integrating these experiences into lessons. I emphasise fingerstyle technique, chord progression mastery, scales, arpeggios, improvisation, soloing, rhythm, tone control, and performance readiness.
