About Jane
I have been teaching English, maths and employment skills to a wide range of students aged 12 - 50 for the last 20 years. I specialise in helping those students who lack confidence in their own ability or struggle to achieve in school/college and try to use more creative methods of teaching to engage hard to reach students. I currently teach functional skill both English and maths, GCSE foundation maths, English Language and ESOL
I currently work part-time at a college as well as teaching privately, so I am full up to date with current curriculums and exams. I am qualified to Level 5 in maths and A level in English language.
I have work with students on the Autistic spectrum, those with Dyspraxia and many students with Dyslexia.
I believe everyone should be offered a chance to achieve their potential and that a good understanding of basic maths and English are key to gaining successful employment

My teaching method is to find out what a student is interested in and integrate that into my teaching. I also like to use various creative methods as many students who struggle with maths in particular find it much easier when you can link it to doing something.
