About Tara
I am a professional piano tutor with a BM in Jazz Piano Performance and over 3 years of experience. My teaching focuses on piano as a collaborative instrument. I train pianists to accompany singers, instrumentalists, and choirs with confidence. Musical partnership is a skill. I emphasize reading lead sheets, transposing on the fly, and developing deep rhythmic awareness. Style versatility is a priority. Students learn how to adjust instantly to different musical settings. Listening comes first. My lessons are student-centered and highly adaptable. I teach school students as well as adult and professional accompanists. Each student’s goals guide the process. I’ve supported learners from Beginner to Advanced levels. I also work with Professional and Expert musicians. Together, we unlock the art of musical partnership.
