About Emma
Currently I am a part time student majoring in psychology at Chapman University. I will be graduating in May and then taking some time off to decide what my next steps will be. I am interested in pursuing my PsyD which is a doctoral degree in psychology. This will allow me to become a therapist as well as a professor of higher education. Aside from education related things I am actually a very creative person. In my free time I sing, paint, do photography, and I love social media. If not psychology I would love to have a career involving one of those things. I think that I’ve learned a lot from my psychology degree and it has helped me better understand people. Because of this I am good at helping others. I would love to give student the support that they need in any way I can.

I have had a lot of experience in school as I am about to graduate college. I am easily able to identify what teachers are looking for in their assignments. I have had to write many essays and know how to structure them properly as well as incorporate strong language. I have also had experience doing research and finding appropriate articles for research papers which is a valuable skill. For anyone interested in psychology I am very familiar with APA formatting and would love to teach it. As a student I have also experienced having tutors myself and so I’ve learned what styles work for helping students and what styles might not be as effective. Most importantly, I know what it’s like to struggle in school and have a lot of empathy and understanding with other students.
