About Shifa
I have an intuitive passion for teaching subjects I love. This is reflected in my very engaging teaching styles rather than the traditional parrot style teaching students struggle understanding.
From a young age I have been a strong believer and active implementer in my lessons of knowledge being engraved through understanding rather than through parrot memorisation.
This is achieved with positivity and by adapting to the students needs as an individual. Each student has a different way of learning and level of understanding within subjects. Taking this into account to shape lessons helps cater for a more personalised tutoring experience.
Hence, I love the inquisitive nature of students when they ask you lots of questions to help solidifying their knowledge.
As the first female in my family to aspire and achieve entering into university, I have had to work hard on my own. This ambition and determination is reflected in my grades. I have learnt to identify the best way of understanding complex topics by dissecting into bitesize chunks and explaining in a simplistic fashion whilst retaining all the important details within. This is further consolidated through use of real life examples and exam questions to pinpoint areas of strengths and weakness upon completing a topic. This achieves a wholesome consolidation of knowledge.
