About Freddie
I am Freddie Britt, I am 22 years old, and I am from the United Kingdom. I am passionate about Maths and Physics, but also understand that these are two very challenging subjects, and I hope that my experience can help students improve their understanding of their studies. I have a first class degree in physics from Durham University and achieved 4 A*s at A-level (Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry), therefore, you can trust that my teaching is well educated.

Tutoring experience: independent tutoring only, both online and in person (4 years). I have tutored Maths and Physics at both GCSE and A level and am comfortable teaching any level from year 7-13.
A typical lesson of mine would last between 1-2 hours and in the past has been dependent on what the student/parent wants.
Initially, I look to identify the weakness(es) of a student. This may be by giving them some problems to solve and watching the way they go about it, speaking to them about a topic more generally, or they may have some direct feedback from another teacher. There are two things I then like to do with students: Firstly, I will find some problems similar to their weakness so that we can solve them together, and then I will allow them to start solving the problem on their own until they understand the solution. Secondly, particularly when the understanding is lacking, I like to make spider diagrams on topics, covering the syllabus points to ensure that the full spec is understood. This way, the student gets practice, improves their understanding, and has good revision material to continue reading.
