About Mariana
Hi! I'm Mariana, but you can call me Mari. I've fallen in love with teaching since I got my own English classes and had just the best experience with a lovely teacher. I knew from that moment that I wanted to be like her, kind, available and last but not least, friendly. Learning a new languange it's quite a challenge and I always congratulate students for taking this first step into a whole new culture, but I believe learning can also be fun e relaxing. One great thing that you'll see in our classes is that I take the opportunity to know more about the students and they feel free to share anything they want (while practicing the language) and ask me about my life too! I've been traveling around Asia and I'd love to chat about our live experiences. Learning a new language while simply talking to a "friend" is the best way to get the preassure out of your head, and you'll feel excited just to get into our next meeting and talk! I bet you'll love to learn Brazilian Portuguese and even so, Brazilian culture, I must tell you now that is quite rich and unique! Also, if you're a TV series and Movies fan, we'll definetly have lots of things to talk about! Other topics that are just the best: Pop culture and music, cause who am I kidding if I say I don't like Taylor Swift? haha I can't wait to get to know you!

I've been teaching English to Brazilians and Portuguese to English Speakers for over 5 years. Conversation classes are the best way to practice, I help students with pronunciation and give them the best tips to avoid falling into the same mistakes patterns. I also use visual and audible examples so the class keeps the reality feeling really close to heart. Each class usually takes around 50min according to the student's availability.
Classes are for students between the ages of 15 and 35, from basic to advanced levels.
