About Emma
Hi!! My name is Emma Nguyen. I am (almost) 18 years old, and I am from the Houston Area. I recently graduated from high school as Salutatorian and Class President. During my time, I took AP Calc BC, AP English Language and Literature, AP Physics 1, AP Gov, AP Macro, AP World History, and AP Bio, which I scored 4s and 5s on. I love animals, crocheting, and conversing with people (I’m a huge extrovert.) I have tutored before for the middle schooler at my school and for my classmates, and I have experience in customer service. I’ll be attending Rice University in the Fall!

I can work with students ranging from elementary all the way to seniors in high school on topics covering basic addition and subtraction to calculus BC. I love to connect with my students first, getting to know their interests and learning styles. If we are struggling with a certain problem, I encourage to not become frustrated or self-deprecating. Then, I would diagnose an area of weakness, recover that part, and ask questions that lead the student to solving on their own. Sometimes, I may complete similar practice problems and they follow by example.
