About Elena
I am a Native Spanish speaker from Spain. I moved to the USA 28 years ago with no English background. I worked as a cashier in a Supermarket and, two years later, I worked making copies in a Mortgage Company until I developed enough English to get my teaching certification. I have been working as a first/kindergarten teacher for 10 years and the last years I have been the bilingual interventionist in my school. My goal has been always advocate and support our bilingual program and families. I can put myself in their shoes when the enter my school speaking only Spanish.
