About Julie
I graduated from the Conservatory of Chambéry, in Savoie.
I have been playing the piano for 12 years, in the classical and jazz register.
I have also been part of a current music group for 5 years. [ N] What made me want to teach is my own journey. I know how difficult it is to understand the piano correctly.
And yes, the piano, "the easiest instrument to start", is actually a lot more complex than it looks. Many beginners then start alone, or accompanied but develop bad reflexes, habits not to be taken, then have to deconstruct these mechanisms and reconstruct them. I experienced it and would have liked to have had a different base.
So I'm here to teach in small numbers, to be able to really follow everyone's progress and serve as a radar for bad habits. I build a progressive and solid line of work, but which does not hamper the fun and passion of the student. You will not have 5 Hanon exercises per day;)

I particularly enjoy working with beginners. This is the most important moment in musical learning. Developing important musical reflexes as early as possible allows a solidity that will allow you to always progress. Playing the piano well is not just about playing the notes well, with accuracy. Musicality, listening, rhythm, improvisation, interpretation are just as important, and are the most complicated to understand and then feel. And that's what makes you want to play your whole life.
Of course, even with an advanced level, you may want to develop this because you can find it very late, you are just as welcome.
Being in a music school, or in a conservatory, n is not necessarily promising at this level, even if it depends on the teachers, that is why I like to share my experience and this musical trigger which rarely occurs alone.
So I do not take a large number of student, in order to keep a really personal follow-up, and to exploit the potential of each one.
