About Amanda
Hey, you! My name is Amanda, 23 years old. I moved to Brisbane when I was 12 years old. Ever since then, languages have become my absolute passion, I am fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English, and am still "working on" Japanese and Korean. I am currently at UQ, majoring in Japanese as well as Chinese Interpretation and Translation, and I will graduate this year! As a bilingual who grew up in Australia, I am able to teach Mandarin in a more simple and familiar manner, making learning this beautiful language an enjoyable journey for you or your child.
Typically 30 min to 1 hour for a lesson (length can be discussed!)
My experiences mainly came from teaching my 12 years old sister Mandarin who was born in Australia and only familiar with English in the first place, teaching her the essence of Chinese for the last 4 years, she is now able to write Chinese poems and speak the language fluently. I am confident to say I will offer you or your child the same skills I have given my own sister!
For beginners and elementary, no age restrictions, any age who has an interest in Mandarin is welcome!
