About Kgomotso
I am a final year MSc Chemistry candidate at the University of Johannesburg. I have a BSc degree in maths and chemistry and BSc honours degree in chemistry. I have been tutoring undergraduate students since 2018 and I have also gave private maths, chemistry and physics lessons to matric learners through whatsapp during lockdown. I have a 3 years experience in a chemistry laboratory environment with my research projects focusing more in organic, inorganic and analytical chemistry.

I am a Chemistry MSc candidate at the University of Johannesburg and currently a Chemistry tutor to first year students. I am offering one-on-one lessons to students, ranging from high school (all grades) to universities (first and second year students), who seek assistance in maths, chemistry and physics (only high school and first year).
I offer both online lessons (preferably through whatsapp or any platform of your preference) and face-to-face lessons.
I am caring, patient, passionate, enthusiastic and excited about providing engaging and challenging learning experience. My aim is to assist, encourage and support students to achieve their academic performance goals. In my lessons I spend a lot of time teaching my students basics of a specific subject because I believe understanding basics is the key to passing and obtaining the marks they need (this is the method that worked for me during my high school and university days). Below my method of teaching:
- teaching basic of the specific topic
- solve problems with students
- give a student few questions to solve to test his/her understanding of the specific topic
- make sure the student understand the topic before moving to next one.
- spend a lot of time practicing past exam papers... Practice makes perfect.
