About Mathieu
I’m a French professor newly arrived in Montréal, with a recent Master of Science in Engineering. Passionate about teaching, I help students build strong foundations in mathematics, physics, and chemistry at any level. I aim to foster students’ self-confidence by guiding them through tailored exercises and discussions, helping them understand key concepts and reach their academic goals. I've just finished a 3-month internship at Columbia University (New-York) in applied research in physical chemistry and graduated with a 4.0 GPA.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy sports and culture, and I’m enthusiastic about working with students who want to improve their skills in these subjects.

As a tutor with an engineering background in science (GPA=4.0), I focus on helping students understand how equations are derived. Once the concept is clear, I provide exercises tailored to the student's level, and we solve them together through discussion. Beyond simply answering exercise questions, I teach students to ask themselves questions to work more effectively: Why start with this calculation? What is the goal? What do they want to demonstrate, and how?
I have taught all levels in France: primary, secondary, pre-undergraduate, and undergraduate. From 2022 to 2023, I served as an official physics and chemistry examiner for the French National Education System at the undergraduate level.
