About Akila
I have a first-class degree from a Russell Group university, I achieved 10 A*s and an A at GCSE, and I passed the 11+ to attend one of the best grammar schools in the country so I'm keen to pass on my lifelong love of learning and insights into exam technique to the next generation. I love to read in my spare time and always have so I'm really enthusiastic about teaching English Literature and English Language! Students have said they find me approachable and that I've given them helpful hints that they hadn't heard in school.

My lessons are 1 hour long and I teach GCSE English Literature and GCSE English Language. I will tailor lessons to your exam board. I ensure that my lessons are focused on past papers and exam-style questions I have created myself to guarantee exam success. My students have access to all the resources I create. My lessons are interactive and I love passing on both my tips and my passion for English Literature and English Language. I am happy to mark any work students ask me to review.
