About Nolan
I believe that learning is a holistic experience and should incorporate many different areas of study. Knowledge and understanding comes more easily when problem solving is not just about getting your work done but is also a source of intellectual enjoyment. Mathematics is the language of pure, abstracted logical reasoning and interacting with it can be intimidating but it does not need to be.
Through my time mentoring students I know that while understanding the language of mathematics can be challenging it can also come with many rewards as well.

I believe in meeting students at their current level of understanding, reinforcing the fundamentals, and then assisting them as they learn and grow. Flexibility is my priority and I have mentored many students on individual research projects throughout the entire process of a project from the first draft to the final presentation. I will work with you to establish a plan for achieving your desired level of understanding and then work with you to obtain those learning goals.
I am happy to meet remotely or in person depending on personal preference and needs.
