About Alyssa
I graduated from the University of Rutgers Camden with a bachelor's degree in childhood studies and a master's degree in teaching education. I am certified to teach K-8 in both NJ and PA and have worked as a long-term substitute teacher in the high school. I am comfortable and knowledgeable in a multitude of subjects including but not limited too science, math, SAT prep, Praxis prep and literacy. I have worked as a 1-on-1, lead teacher, co-teacher and reading specialist.

Hi! My name is Alyssa and I am so excited for the opportunity to help you be successful. Believe it or not, I didn't really like school when I was younger; I became a teacher because I believe in making learning FUN and applying it to our real lives around us. I like to do a multitude of different activities in our lessons so we try to avoid doing the same thing twice! As your tutor, we will move at your pace, making sure you understand everything and feel confident before moving on. I am looking for students of all ages! I have taught multiple grades K-12 as well as tutored some of my college athletes! I look forward to learning with you!
