About Ben
I’m an artist specialising in painting, however I’m interest in a range of subjects including art, literature and cinema. I’ve exhibited my work in galleries across London and Essex. I recently graduated from the Slade School of Fine Art, with first class honours.
After my A-levels I attended Colchester institute, Central Saint Martins, SOAS and the Slade School of Fine Art. Consequently, I know the education system well and what art schools look for when considering applications.
I am passionate about teaching and creating art. Teaching is something that I enjoy and find personally rewarding. I am an educator who believes in creating a comfortable learning environment, where students are also challenged and pushed (that balance being essential for learning). I believe teaching is also about catering to individual needs, and finding out what aids an individual’s learning. I have extensive art school eduction, specialising in painting. I have a diverse range of creative skills and knowledge of contemporary art and art history.

My lessons are tailored to each individual student. I’ll start by getting to know what you want to learn and achieve during our lessons, and tailor our time to achieving that goal. During our lessons I’ll open you up to a range of ways of making and thinking about your artwork.
I can also help prospectus students with their portfolios and art school applications.
I make canvases for myself and other artists, and I'm happy to teach others how do so.
