About Jan
I would be delighted to be your teacher and help you learn to make music you enjoy, and will love performing for others. I have degrees in music from The University of Texas Butler School of Music, and many years experience coaxing the best musicianship from each student. Also, I am a performing songwriter and musician with 6 albums to my credit.

Lessons are tailored to the student's experience and desires, and will include a theory component both as an aid to understanding and as the groundwork for creating music of one's own. I have had years of experience at coaxing the best musicianship from each student. My youngest student so far was 4 years, and the oldest 85 and counting. If you wish to make music, I can show you how.

I had the pleasure of taking voice lessons from Jan Seides from August 2023 through January 2024. She is immensely kind, talented and patient. She is a truly wonderful voice coach who is also proficient at piano, mandolin, guitar and many other types of instruction. She did a wonderful job with me, expanding my vocal range by 1 and a half octaves. On a personal note, she is just a spectacularly great voice coach with whom I look forward to working with again. Also she just happens to know one of my favorite singers, Christopher Cross (best songs All Right and Sailing in my opinion). She is amazing. Highly recommended, A+++++++
