About Sara
I graduated a semester early from Oswego State University with a double major, B.A., in English and Creative Writing with a minor in Communications/Social Interactions! I am also a published writer, once for fiction and once for poetry, and am currently a Graduate Student at Emerson College looking to receive my MFA in Creative Writing! I would love to help any age range of students become more confident in topics in English (reading comprehension, spelling/grammar, literature, SAT test prep, etc), and any kind of writing, whether it is Creative Writing or essay writing! Making sure students know that they are validated in their struggles with certain materials, making them comfortable, and establishing a positive academic environment would be my main goal. Something I truly enjoy about life is being able to talk to and help people. It would be such an amazing experience to be able to allow students to become more confident in subjects I am passionate about and to share my knowledge with them!!

What sets me apart as a tutor is that I would center my lesson plans around the students that I teach. I want to know how they prefer to learn and what methods help them to grasp material the best. Tutoring for me would be strictly student based, and I would like them to feel validated, comfortable, and motivated to succeed. I would love to help students become more confident in subjects I am passionate about and knowledgeable in, so creating a positive work environment for them would be top priority.
