About Lauren
Hi! I’m Lauren and I’m a recent graduate of Law, about to start my diploma to qualify as a solicitor in Scotland. The diploma is a more relaxed year, so I would like to fill my free time helping out as much as possible to students who are undertaking National 5 and Higher English. During school I found it quite difficult to find my perfect learning style, but once I discovered it, it massively changed my approach to studying and therefore my success in exams. I hope to help students who perhaps have an alternative learning style, and would like to expand their understanding of what practices best suit them.

I like to take an active approach towards tutoring sessions. My learning style is very visual, and I enjoy question and answering activities. I would suggest 1 hour - 90 minute sessions to take a deep dive into reading materials. I graduated school in 2021, achieving A’s in both my National 5 and Higher English exams. Whilst I can appreciate that learning material may have evolved, I have since completed my degree in Scots Law. So I have had a vast experience in literature materials. I believe this gives me a special understanding of English which I think would be valuable to tutoring sessions.
