About Felix
Hi all! My name is Felix, I'm an incoming math grad student at Tufts University -- I recently graduated from Williams College where I studied mathematics. In addition to taking over 20 courses in math/stats/cs in college (that's a lot), I have also spent two summers as a math researcher, I've spent two years as a college teaching assistant, and I've tutored other students in math for over 5 years. I love sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for math with others, and have acquired many teaching skills and approaches for different learning preferences over the years. While college-level math is my most recent experience, I have years of experience teaching algebra 1 and 2, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and SAT Math prep. I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs, focusing on building strong foundational understanding and problem-solving skills. A typical lesson includes a review of key topics, followed by guided practice and discussion of challenging concepts.
What sets me apart is my ability to adapt my teaching style to suit diverse learning preferences, aimed at helping my students gain confidence in math. In the past, I’ve worked with middle school through college students on various topics, from algebra and geometry to advanced calculus and beyond.
