About Ali
Alice Levine is a cellist, educator, and song writer. She graduated from Manhattan School of Music with her Bachelor of Music and Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music (IU) with her Master of Music. Her primary cello teachers were Georgiy Ginovker(Principal Cellist of the Leningrad Philharmonic, Russia), David Geber(American String Quartet) Julia Lichten(Orpheus Chamber Orchestra), Richard Aaron and Eric Kim. She attended the Aaron Copland School of Music at CUNY Queens College to do post-graduate studies in Music Education. She also completed her long term Suzuki Pedagogy training at The School for Strings in New York City. She was invited to play in the finals for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. She studied chamber music with Cliff Colnot, Dan Avshalamov, Peter Winograd, Alex Kerr, Charles Neidich, Marc Silverman, and Wolfram Kessel.

Alice integrates philosophies from various methodologies and believes that the best way to teach is to cater to the individual's needs. At IU, Alice was a recipient of the Artistic Excellence Award and Eva Heinetz Outstanding Cellist Award, a scholarship awarded and sponsored by legendary cellist Janos Starker. She also served as faculty at Indiana University Pre-College, Indiana University Summer String Academy, and minored in String Pedagogy with Mimi Zweig, the former teacher of Joshua Bell.
